This is the interior of the home where Kendrick Lamar was born and raised in the rough neighborhood of Compton, which is located in the city of Los Angeles

Kendrick Lamar was born and raised in the disadvantaged Community of Compton, which is located in the city of Los Angeles. A mansion in Manhattan Beach, a luxury seaside city, that is reportedly worth $9.7 million is where he currently stays. And as his fame has risen, the rap music sensation, who has been honored with a multitude of accolades, including the Pulitzer Prize and thirteen Grammy honors, has renovated his family’s houses in Los Angeles to more luxurious estates. He is also the recipient of numerous international honors.

Lamar bought $2.7 million for a house in a Calabasas guard-gated enclave in 2017. His younger sister, Paula Oliver, and his parents, Kenny Duckworth, all live there. Additionally, the 34-year-old still owns the two-story house his parents and brothers shared before relocating to Calabasas in the inconspicuous community of Eastvale, San Bernardino County, roughly an hour east of Los Angeles.

Finally getting around to selling his Eastvale home, Lamar is asking $800,000 for it. Thankfully, the market is booming, and he stands to gain greatly from the transaction if the price he is asking comes close to what he is asking (which is highly likely given comparable sales in the neighborhood). Public records show that he paid $523,400 for the property in 2014.

The 2006-built, voluminous, but otherwise unremarkable residence contains four bedrooms and 2.5 restrooms in approximately 3,500 square feet. The home’s front facade is dominated by a three-car garage, while patches of grassy lawn provide welcome respite for dogs and others. There is a small covered veranda and a few palm trees for ambience.

A brief look at the listing photos reveals that the extended Lamar family has long since left the Eastvale property; the home’s interiors are entirely vacant and unstaged. The double-height vestibule features travertine flooring and is flanked by formal living and dining rooms that, like the home’s staircases and bedrooms, are carpeted from floor to ceiling. Further back is a triangular family room with a fireplace, while the adjacent kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances of average quality.

On the main level of the residence is a bedroom suite ideal for overnight visitors. The remaining three bedrooms are located on the second floor, including a master suite with dual vanities, an integrated soaking tub, and a spacious walk-in closet. Large windows overlook the yard, which is not particularly large but has a built-in barbecue station beneath a long loggia with two ceiling fans. Moreover, the property is one of only a few in the immediate area with a private swimming pool and spa — a definite plus in the scorching heat of the Inland Empire.

Like what you see? Better haste! According to the listing, all offers are due by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22. This is a strong indication that the seller (and his agents) anticipate a bidding war.
