Top 3 Must-Target Free Agents for the Chiefs Post-2024 NFL Draft

After winning the Super Bowl in consecutive years, the Kansas City Chiefs are aiming to make Super Bowl era history by becoming the first club to threepeat. Everything is possible with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

If the Chiefs can stay healthy for the upcoming season, it would be shocking if they don’t win another championship. However, their dominance during the past five years is no guarantee of future success.

Some gaps were still visible in Kansas City even in 2023. Because of the team’s glaring wide receiver problems, Mahomes suffered arguably the worst regular season as a starter in his NFL career. Isiah Pacheco was good, but they still didn’t have enough depth in their backfield.

Even during the regular season, there was a period when the Chiefs had a losing record of 3-5 and it appeared as though clubs like the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens were going to finish ahead of them. Contrary to expectations, Kansas City cruised through the AFC playoffs and emerged victorious in the Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers.

This offseason, the Chiefs added some intriguing players, such Xavier Worthy, a receiver out of the University of Texas, and Marquise Brown, a former wide out for the Arizona Cardinals, who the Chiefs signed in free agency.

Even still, before training camp and the regular season, Kansas City could use a few more trades.

Thanks be to God, the Chiefs can still sign some undrafted free agents. The city of Kansas City should think about these three names.

David Bakhtiari – offensive tackle

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – wide receiver

Xavien Howard – cornerback
