The Chicago Bulls selected the 6-foot-5 guard in the latest 2024 NBA Mock Draft

This summer will be important for the Chicago Bulls as they have the opportunity to seriously plan for the future. The 2024 NBA Draft would give them the opportunity to add some much-needed young talent to the roster, ideally complementing players like Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Patrick Williams (if he re-signs the copper).

The recent 2024 NBA Mock Draft from Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman shows the Bulls selecting Baylor guard Ja’Kobe Walter with pick 12. Walter is a 6-foot-5 guard who is in his first year with the Bears and could be a good shot creator in the NBA.

Wasserman noted that skill as a reason why teams might recruit him.

“A drop in three-point percentage won’t prevent scouts from seeing an NBA shooter in Ja’Kobe Walter. Since high school, the eye test shows a versatile shooter with impressive positional tools and some added ability to hit tough runners,” Wasserman wrote. “It was the lack of creativity and playmaking that caused some concerns and highlighted the importance of Walter being able to knock down jumpers consistently. In Baylor’s last 13 games, he’s just 19 of 80 from deep with 21 assists.

So far this season at Baylor, Walter is averaging 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 38.5 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from behind the three point line.
