Bulls guard Jevon Carter paid nearly $1M for a West Loop apartment

Chicago Bulls guard Jevon Carter has new digs in the West Loop.

In July, the fifth-year major paid $965,000 for a three-bedroom, 2,535-square-foot apartment in an undisclosed high-rise, the Chicago Tribune reported.

In November, Carter sold his four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot home in Fox Point, Wisconsin, for $770,000. He purchased the house for $810,000 in 2022, while he was playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The West Loop condo Carter purchased was put on the market for $989,995 in May, with Paul Gorney of eXp Realty as the listing agent. The asking price was later lowered to $975,000, then to $950,000.

The apartment offers panoramic city views and a second balcony overlooking the master suite. His property tax bill is $15,300 for the 2022 tax year, the newspaper reported.

Several Bulls players have purchased high-priced homes in 2023. In August, point guard Coby White purchased a 7,000-square-foot, six-bedroom mansion in Lincoln Park. Although the sale price has not been disclosed, the property is listed for more than $5 million.

Nearly two months later, Chicago native and third-year professional Ayo Dosunmu paid more than $2 million for his six-bedroom, 4,700-square-foot home at 1620 West Pierce Place in Wicker Park. Dosunmu used the opaque land to purchase the modern-style home, which features five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a floating glass staircase and a kitchen with high-end appliances.

NBA star DeMar DeRozan paid $4.5 million for a mansion in River North after signing with the Bulls in 2021, and Bulls center Nikola Vucevic spent $4.75 million on a sprawling home 53,000 square feet in Lincoln Park in summer 2022.
